Inspections, Repairs & Maintenance - Water Pipe

Water pipe breaks operate slightly different than other inspection or repair data. They are generated using the water pipe break tool and are stored as a point related to the section of pipe they occur in. By storing pipe breaks as points, the exact location of the break is shown in the map. To create a pipe break, use the water pipe break tool, found in the edit toolbar tab, and click on the water pipe where the break occurred. The break will be related to the selected section of pipe and can be edited by clicking on the related pipe or the pipe break itself then clicking the Details button in the pop-up. The water pipe asset management form will open and all breaks for that pipe section we be listed in the Breaks tab. Click the Details button to edit the Break attributes and record labor and materials used to repair the break.

Water Pipe Breaks are found in the Maintenance layer group within the Water Distribution sub-group.

A dynamic layer depicting the number of breaks per 100 feet of pipe is also included in the Maintenance layer group within the Water Distribution sub-group.
