InfiniteGIS™ Asset Management
Inventory
Inventory is found in the Asset Management menu on the InfiniteGIS Home page.
The General Inventory management page provides tools to create or modify inventory items, record transactions (purchased or used), view current stock and historical transactions.
The Inventory page is divided into two primary sections; Inventory Summary and Inventory Transactions.
Near the top of the page is a select list of Inventory Items. When you select an Item from the list, a form for recording a transaction will open. The date and current average unit cost will be filled in automatically. Enter other transaction values then click Save. When saved, the Inventory Summary list will update and adjust the Item's quantity, average cost and total value. The new transaction will also be in the Transactions tab.
To create a new Inventory Item click the Create New Item button and enter an Item ID and Description.
Inventory Summary
Use the Filter tools to display Inventory Items that meet your filter criteria. Type in a value then click outside of the box or press the tab key to update the list. Item ID will show all Items that begin with the value entered. Description will display all Items that contain the value entered.
The Summary tab displays Quantity, Average Cost and Total Value for all unique inventory items. The values are a summary of all transactions for each item. Inventory Items cannot be deleted since they are used in repair records and form the basis for the materials cost of a repair.
Click the Edit button next an Inventory Item to change the Item ID and/or Discription. Note: Editing an inventory Item ID and/or Description will also update the Materials Description for any Repair where it was used.
Inventory Transactions
Use the Filter tools to display Inventory Transactions that meet your filter criteria. Type in a value then click outside of the box or press the tab key to update the list. Item ID will show all Items that begin with the value entered. Description will display all Items that contain the value entered. Invoice will display all Items that contain the value entered. The From and To date fields are pre-populated with the first and last days of the current year respectively.
Inventory Transactions generated by a Repair record cannot be edited or deleted.
